North County is the home of Lambert International Airport plus several major corporations. It features many quiet, residential suburbs with well-maintained neighborhoods.
Originally founded by the French in the 1700's, this area features a fascinating variety of home styles and neighborhoods. Houses range from historic antebellum two-stories in Old Town Florissant and Ferguson to brick, frame or brick-and-frame ranches in Florissant's many subdivisions.
One of the larger cities in St. Louis County, Hazelwood comprises hundreds of mature neighborhoods and well-maintained subdivisions. Houses tend to be ranches, although other styles are available.
The northernmost portion of St. Louis County, these areas are nestled in scenic, rolling hills with an abundance of trees, where subdivisions still rub elbows with farmland in these rapidly developing municipalities.
Homes can be found in a variety of architectural styles from ranch to split-level to two-story brick-and-frame. Lots are also available for custom homes.
New homes construction continues and multi-family housing is plentiful in this area, which is home to Riverport Amphitheater and West Port Plaza.
A remarkably wide range of home styles exists in this large, mature section of the county. You'll find a variety of styles, ranging from tiny frame bungalows to modern ranches to multi-story brick homes.
